After setting expectations for the day, the EiB team will deliver a presentation on potential shared services and cross-CGIAR activities  which will then be discussed in groups by region, including next steps for implementation.

Advancement meeting: institutional & cultural change components

This session will begin with a wrap-up of the previous days' work on advancement meetings, after which they will break into groups to discuss 4 topics: Target product profiles, Implementing performance metrics, Leading from the front, and Role specialization.

Advancement meeting: putting the parts together

Each group will report back on the key learnings on each topic: what works, what can be improved, and what practical steps can we take next? EiB will capture this input to develop a common guideline for implementing an advancement meeting, and as a general guide to change.

Working groups: Jointly defining Center-level action plans for the next year

Based on the discussions of the day, participants will break out into groups defined by Centers to identify step-by-step actions that will result in change towards the vision over the next year.

Concluding remarks

Returning to the vision presented and developed during the meeting, the EiB will summarize what has taken place, identify immediate post-meeting activities and set expectations for the next year.
