About the webinar

To achieve high rates of genetic gain, it is crucial to maintain good data quality. Standardized processes are essential for ensuring repeatability and consistency in delivering this data. For breeding programs, the Accelerated Breeding and Breeding Resources Initiatives have collaborated to implement a quality management system (QMS) – a structured framework and set of procedures and processes to ensure that services meet specified quality standards. This mini symposium aims to highlight achievements and provide a forum to discuss future steps towards the implementation of quality assurance within the CGIAR breeding community.

The webinar aims to assist participants in the following:

  • Understanding the significance of standardized processes.
  • Gaining insights into the efforts of CGIAR Genetic Innovation Initiatives in establishing the Quality Management System, understanding achievements to date, and exploring future steps.
  • Engaging in the development and/or implementation of standardized processes.
