Health, safety and environment (HSE) is a fundamental consideration for CGIAR breeding operations teams. This session of the BOND network offers the chance to learn the tools and approaches used by Corteva to embed sound HSE culture and practices, followed by a look into the operational health and safety practices in place at CIMMYT.
Speakers
Paige Oliver (Corteva): Seed Product Development Network and Systems Global Leader for Corteva Agriscience™. As a senior Corteva leader, Paige leads Global Innovation Farm efforts and partners with teams within Corteva and external collaborators across the globe to further advance agricultural research.
Vijay Chaikam (CIMMYT): Senior Scientist - Maize Doubled Haploid Technology. Vijay is Chair of Occupational Health and Safety committee for CIMMYT-Kenya research stations and has more than 10 years working in CIMMYT, including in research station management (Agua fria station in Mexico and Kiboko station in Kenya).
