Overview:

Breeding Resource Initiative is thrilled to introduce a brand-new expanded Service Portal designed to streamline and simplify the process of requesting and tracking a wider range of breeding support services. This comprehensive platform will be launched at the end of October 2023, and we invite you to its presentation, on October 25th, from 9pm Manila time / 7am Mexico time.

The webinar will provide an in-depth exploration of the new Service Portal. Why should you join the webinar and eventually adopt the Service Portal?

  • Enhanced user experience: the Service Portal is accessible to both CGIAR and public users. It now covers elemental laboratory analyses, support for Trailing and Nurseries, and ICARDA Genebank seed samples.
  • Proven efficiency: in collaboration with Scriptoria Sustainable Development Solutions' Data Team, the portal provides users with easy access to a modern, digital request system that expedites submissions and minimizes errors.
  • Expanded Services: with this new release, you can request laboratory analyses to quantify elements like zinc, iron, aluminium, chromium, and titanium. The expanded Portal also offers tools to request and track support with Trialing and Nurseries tasks. This aids teams in a wide range of support areas, from enhancing seed processing, storage, and agronomy to assisting partners in improving phenotyping and irrigation practices.
  • Collaboration and Integration: the portal's versatility has led ICARDA's Genebanks to join in and harness its systems for their seed ordering and tracking requirements. The first phase of ICARDA's ordering system is already in place, enabling seamless seed requests.
  • Measurable impacts: by digitizing service requests, this platform significantly reduces the day-to-day administrative burden, enhances service quality, and enables efficient tracking of request timelines, ensuring optimal delivery.
